Zonayed Saki, chief coordinator of Ganasamhati Andolon, has said that those attacking and harrassing freedom fighters in Comilla are accomplices of fascists.
He accused them of trying to reinstate a fascist system.
He further alleged that Sheikh Hasina is attempting to create communal unrest with the support of India’s BJP by dividing the people.
He urged everyone to remain united and vigilant against such efforts.
Saki said these on Monday during a press conference at a public dialogue event organized by the Sylhet District Committee of the Central Muslim Sahitya Sangsad.
The event was held under the theme "Establishing a New Political Framework for Democratic Transformation of the State".
In his speech, Saki emphasized: "We want a system where the state values everyone as citizens regardless of their identity, religion, ethnicity or gender. Ensuring the dignity of all must be the state's priority. We do not seek any other arrangement beyond this."
