After a brief restriction, tourists can once again visit Sajek Valley, the renowned destination in Rangamati known as the "land of clouds."
The Sajek Cottage Owners’ Association announced that tourists would be allowed to travel to Sajek as usual starting Thursday following a decision by the Law and Order Committee of the Rangamati District Administration.
Security measures by law enforcement will also resume from 10am on the same day, adhering to previous protocols.
Vice President of the Sajek Cottage Owners’ Association Chaithwai Aung Chowdhury Joy confirmed the reopening, adding: “From tomorrow (Thursday), tourists can travel to Sajek as before. There are no security concerns at present.”
He warmly invited visitors to experience the beauty of Sajek.
Baghaichhari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shirin Akhter added: “The deputy commissioner has informed that joint force patrols have commenced in Sajek and its surrounding areas. Therefore, the earlier restriction is no longer necessary. Tourists are welcome to visit Sajek from Thursday onward.”
