July Shaheed Smrity Foundation General Secretary Sarjis Alam has urged everyone to uphold the spirit of 2024 mass upsurge.
He said: “The spirit with which the young generation actively participated in the mass upsurge of 2024 should remain. We are working in different areas of the country to maintain the spirit so that they can take to the streets again unitedly and fight together if such a crisis arises again.”
He said this while exchanging views with students and teachers at Tunirhat Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Degree College ground in Panchagarh Sadar Upazila on Sunday.
Sarjis said: “We are getting acquainted with the students and teachers of different areas of the school-college. Schools and colleges have innumerable problems, innumerable limitations. We think it is our responsibility to know them and, if possible, cooperate from our side and present them before the country.
“It is important to build a new Bangladesh after the coup and reform the systems. We are working from that place. We will go to every district and upazila of Bangladesh in this way and work from the place of our responsibilities and duties,” he added.
Principal of the college Anisur Rahman Prodhan, former reserved MP Rina Parvin, local UP chairman Tofail Prodhan, local coordinator of the student movement Fazle Rabbi, Mokadesur Rahman Sun and others were present along with the students.
Earlier, Sarjis Alam met and exchanged views with the students, teachers and locals of different institutions of the upazila sadar.
