A fire erupted at a garment factory in Savar on Tuesday afternoon in the Aichanoyadda area of the municipality.
Two firefighting units arrived on the scene and successfully brought the fire under control within 20 minutes.
The blaze occurred at Surma Garments, where factory authorities initially attempted to douse the flames before alerting the fire service.
Meherun, warehouse inspector of Savar Fire Service, said: "Upon receiving the news, we quickly reached the spot and managed to bring the fire under control after about 20 minutes of effort. The cause of the fire and the extent of the damage are not yet known."
No casualties have been reported so far, and an inquiry is underway to determine the source of the fire.
