Dr Ramapad Roy, the Civil Surgeon of Sirajganj, has been made an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) and attached to the Directorate General of Health Services.
This was confirmed on Wednesday afternoon by Deputy Civil Surgeon Dr A F M Obaidul Islam.
Earlier, on Tuesday night, a notification signed by Abu Raihan Dolon, Senior Assistant Secretary of the Health Services Division of the Ministry of Health, announced Dr Ramapad Roy's OSD status.
Dr Ramapad Roy was promoted to Civil Surgeon of Sirajganj on April 8, 2021, from his previous position as Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer.
The specific reasons for making OSD have not been disclosed.
