A fire broke out on an oil tanker anchored at Chittagong Port following an explosion on Monday morning.
Md Kafil Uddin, mobilizing officer of the fire service’s Chittagong divisional office, said eight firefighting units, along with navy and Chittagong Port Authority personnel, were engaged in dousing the flames.
The ship, named Banglar Jyoti, is owned by the Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC).
