The newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Thakurgaon, Ishrat Farzana, held a views exchange meeting with local journalists on Thursday.
Journalists from print, electronic, and online media took part in the meeting held at the deputy commissioner’s office in the afternoon.
At the meeting, the DC and local journalists shed light on the district's current problems and the way ahead in the new circumstances following the July student movement.
DC Ishrat Farzana stressed the need for restoring law and order and bringing peace to the people. She also spoke regarding promoting cultural activities and setting up libraries in the district.
She requested all to extend their support during her tenure at the office.
