The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested three individuals, including a sub-inspector (SI), with 1,201 bottles of phensedyl in Jhenaidah Sadar upazila.
The arrests took place at Hatgopalpur Secondary School around 1:30am on Tuesday.
The arrestees were identified as Shahidul Islam, SI of Hatgopalpur police camp, Soher Ali, and Faruk Hossain.
RAB-6 Jhenaidah camp company commander Major Nayeem Hossain said the arrests were made following a tip-off about drug smuggling in the Hatgopalpur area.
A total of 1,201 bottles of phensedyl were recovered, and a case was filed by RAB before handing the accused over to Sadar police station, he said.
