Police arrested Chhatra League leader Istiaq Ahmed Hridoy, the alleged instigator of industrial instability through sabotage and conspiracy in the garment sector.
Netrokona District Police arrested him on Monday, according to police headquarters.
In a video, he was seen instigating unrest in the export-oriented garment sector by inciting garment workers to engage in looting and take to the streets.
Although he pretends to be a common man, he is a Chhatra League leader and a student of the Law Department at Northern University, police sources in Netrakona said.
