Six people including two brothers of two families each were killed and three people injured in a collision between a microbus and a CNG-run autorickshaw in Kamarkhand upazila in Sirajganj district on Sunday.
The deceased were autorickshaw driver Rashedul Islam, 22, two sons of Ramnaj Ali- Nuruzzaman, 52, and Tareq Rahman, 55, Jahangir Alam, 56, two brothers-Rezaul Karim, 60, and Abdul Majid, 50.
The collision occurred between the two vehicles on Sirajganj-Nalka regional highway around 12pm, leaving two passengers of the autorickshaw dead on the spot, said Kamarkhand police station Officer-in-Charge Rezaul Karim.
The injured were rushed to M Mansur Ali Medical College Hospital where four people died, he added.
