The Local Government and Engineering Department (LGED) of Gopalganj Sadar has distributed cheques and certificates worth Tk2.45 crore to 210 depositors under the RERMP-3 project.
During the event at Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Tuesday, each woman depositor received Tk1,19,775 from the Rural Employment and Road Maintenance Program (RERMP-3) project.
The guests handed over checks and certificates of a total of Tk2,44,67,920.
Gopalganj Sadar Upazila Engineer SM Zahidul Islam presided over the function. Ehsanul Haque, Executive Engineer of Gopalganj LGED, was the chief guest, while Upazila Executive Officer Mohsin Uddin spoke as a special guest.
