The Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has actively participated in rescue operations and relief efforts to assist those affected by the ongoing floods across the country.

Thousands of members of the organization have been involved in these efforts in flood-stricken areas, including Comilla, Feni, Noakhali, Khagrachari, and Chittagong.

Top leaders of the Chhatra Dal also joined in the relief efforts on Friday.

The organization has been involved in rescuing people trapped in floodwaters, distributing dry food and clean drinking water, providing emergency first aid, and helping restore communication between families.

Rescue operations have been conducted using boats and speedboats, with efforts focused on the most severely affected areas.

Under the guidance of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman, the Chhatra Dal Central Sangsad has distributed relief items, including food, to flood victims in Feni.

Chhatra Dal President Rakibul Islam Rakib said to Jugantor that under Tarique Rahman's guidance, Chhatra Dal has been supporting flood victims over the past few days.

He added that the organization’s leaders and activists, both at the central and local levels, are risking their lives to carry out rescue operations.

The party’s Secretary General Nasir Uddin Nasir said: “Our leaders and activists are working tirelessly. So far, we have rescued thousands of women, children, and elderly people from various areas, including Feni and Comilla, and taken them to safe places. Despite the area being cut off from communication, we continue to conduct rescue operations in submerged areas using boats and speedboats. Additionally, Chhatra Dal has organized rescue and relief activities in various districts, including Noakhali, Laksmipur, Comilla, and Habiganj.”
