Ex-state minister Kujendra Lal accused in Khagrachhari BNP office vandalism case

A case has been filed in connection with vandalism, assault and looting at the BNP office in Manikchhari, Khagrachhari, accusing over 300 individuals, including former state minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts affairs and Khagrachhari Awami League President Kujendra Lal Tripura.

A resident of Manikchari union, Mir Hossain, filed the case was filed on Tuesday, confirmed Manikchhari police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Iqbal Uddin.

According to the OC, the case relates to the vandalism, assault and looting at the Manikchari upazila BNP office on December 15, 2022. A total of 336 people are accused in the case.

Among them, 150 accused are unnamed individuals.

Police said efforts were underway to arrest the accused.
