A rally was held in Gopalganj demanding the return of Sheikh Hasina, former prime minister of Bangladesh.
Gopalganj District Awami League President Mahbub Ali Khan addressed the rally as the chief guest.
Atghoria Upazila Council Chairman Tanvir Ahmed, district council member Shafiul Alam Biswas and others also spoke at the rally.
During the rally, speakers claimed that Sheikh Hasina was forcibly removed from office and compelled to leave the country.
They also called for the immediate arrest and prosecution of those responsible for burning the Dhanmondi 32 house, vandalizing Bangabandhu's sculpture, and attacking the business establishments of Awami League leaders and workers.
They condemned the looting, arson, and destruction of sculptures and temples across various parts of the country.
