Five people have been killed, and over 30 people were injured in a clash between police, Awami League activists and students in Feni.
The clash took place at Mohipal in the district on Sunday afternoon.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
The protesters vandalized the Mohipal police box to protest the attack and firing.
Feni Sadar Hospital Superintendent Abul Khair Miazi confirmed the matter.
He said: “At least five bodies came to the hospital from the site of the clash.”
He added that 30 people injured in the clash have been admitted to the hospital.
