Two people, including Chhatra Dal leader were killed in a clash between police and Awami League activists in Magura on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Magura Chhatra Dal unit Senior Joint General Secretary Mehedi Hasan Rabbi.
He was shot during a clash around 11:30am in the Parnanduali area.
Magura 250-bed Hospital director Mohsin Uddin said: “The young man was brought to the hospital with gunshot wounds. He died while receiving treatment.”
At least 10 other injured individuals had been brought to the hospital, he added.
This brings the death toll in the non-cooperation movement to 18.
