Chief of Army Staff General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed on Wednesday expressed his satisfaction over the combined effort of all parties in upholding the image of the Bangladesh Army as the pride of the country.
“I am calling on everyone to continue the progress of the Bangladesh Army to face the challenges of the 21st century through modern and up-to-date training,” he said at his farewell darbar at the Shaheed Salahuddin Cantonment in Ghatail of Tangail.
At that time, the army chief was in tears.
Earlier, Major General Hussain Muhammad Masihur Rahman, Area Commander of 19 Infantry Division and Shaheed Salauddin Cantonment, welcomed General Shafiuddin at the cantonment.
