The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has detained three Bangladeshis and one Myanmar national while they were attempting to illegally enter India through Benapole port in Jessore.
The detainees are Keshtakor Mandal, 50, Asha Rani, 40, Sheuli Khatun, 35, and Myanmar national Md Hossain, 25. They were detailed on Saturday morning.
Habildar Abdus Samad, commander of Ghiba camp of BGB-49 in Jessore, said during interrogation it was revealed that three of them were going to India for treatment while the Myanmar national was going to India for work.
They were handed over to Benapole Port police station after filing a case.
