BGB chief visits remote border in Rangamati

  • He first visited BGB Rangamati sector headquarters
  • Greeted BGB members at two BOPs

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui visited the remote hill areas of Rangamati on Saturday.

Flanked by senior officials, the BGB chief visited Parachhara BOP under Kaptai Battalion and Uluchhari BOP under Barkal Battalion, and shared Eid greetings with the BGB members.

BGB Public Relations Officer Shariful Islam said the DG went to the Rangamati sector headquarters in the morning. He also chaired a Darbar when BGB members of all levels working in the BOPs and all battalions under Rangamati sector were connected through VTC. 

After that, the BGB chief visited Parachhara and Uluchhari BOPs.

He thanked everyone for carrying out their duties with efficiency and success in spite of various adversities in remote hill areas. At the same time, he instructed them to fulfill their sacred duties with patriotism, honesty and truthfulness, loyalty, devotion and discipline.

Senior officials, including the additional director general (GS Branch), the additional director general (BSB), Chittagong Region Commander, and Rangamati Sector Commander, were present during the visit.
