In the spirit of Ramadan, Global Unnayan Seba Sangstha (GUSS), in collaboration with Muslim Aid US and Muslim Aid UK, has undertaken a heartfelt initiative to provide essential food packages to vulnerable, needy communities.
During Ramadan, they distributed food packs to 150 widowed, orphaned, and impoverished elder families at Godagari in Rajshahi.
Each food package was meticulously crafted to address the basic nutritional needs of these families, comprising 20kg of rice, 3kg potatoes, 2kg soybean oil, 1kg pulses, 2kg onions, 1kg salt, 1kg dates, 2kg puffed rice, 1kg gram, and 4 packets noodles.
The distribution event was graced by the esteemed presence of Godagari Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md Atiqul Islam, along with several chairpersons from respective unions, as well as representatives from Global Unnayan Seba Sangstha and Muslim Aid UK.
Their collective efforts underscored a commitment to serving the most marginalized members of society, particularly during this sacred month of Ramadan.
This noble endeavour follows a similar intervention conducted last week in Pabna Sadar Upazila, where GUSS and Muslim Aid extended their support to an additional 150 needy families, further exemplifying their dedication to humanitarian relief efforts.
Through initiatives such as these, Global Unnayan Seba Sangstha, Muslim Aid USA, and Muslim Aid UK continue to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to alleviating poverty and food insecurity, uplifting communities, and fostering compassion and solidarity during times of need.
