The country will likely fall into a trap of 10-day holiday during the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holiday.
Government employees will enjoy a 10-day holiday during Eid-ul-Fitr if they take an extra two-day leave.
Already many employees are planning to apply for two days of leave to take this opportunity.
According to the government holiday calendar, the Eid holiday is subject to sightings of the moon.
However, April 5 and 6 (Friday and Saturday) are weekends respectively. April 7 is the public holiday for Shab-e-Qadr.
Government offices, courts, banks, insurance companies will be open on April 8 and 9.
In that case, government employees can get 10 consecutive days leave till April 14 if they take leave on these two days.
According to the calendar, Eid-ul-Fitr holiday is on April 10, 11 and 12 subject to moon sighting.
Again, April 13 is a Saturday weekend and April 14 is Pahela Baishakh.
Therefore, the government offices are open only for two days in the middle.
Before and after these two days, the whole country might fall into the trap of long holidays.
If this month of Ramadan lasts 29 days, the public holiday of Eid-ul-Fitr will start from April 9.
In that case, government employees can enjoy 10 consecutive days leave by taking only one day leave on April 8.
Because April 12 and 13 are Friday and Saturday holidays. The next day is April 14, holiday for Pahela Baishakh.
