Panchagarh Express derailment: Rail communication resumes after 5 hours

Rail communication between Dhaka and the northern part of Bangladesh resumed five hours after four wheels of a bogie of Panchagarh Express train derailed in Tangail. 

Train communication resumed at around 2am on Tuesday. 

The bogie of the train was taken to Gharinda Railway Station with the help of a crane, said Shah Sufi Noor Mohammad, Pakshi Railway divisional manager. 

A four-member probe body has been formed to investigate the matter. The committee is headed by Pakshi Railway Divisional Transport Officer (DTO) Anwar Hossain.

The probe body has been asked to submit a report within seven working days. 

The Panchagarh Express train derailed at Bangabandhu Bridge East railway station in Tangail's Kalihati upazila on Monday night.
