At least two people were killed and six others were injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a covered van in Narsingdi.
The incident took place at the Bhagadi Kadamtala area of Palash upazila on Saturday.
One of the deceased has been identified as Idris Ali, the driver of Ena Paribahan bus.
The identity of the other victim, and the injured persons are yet to be known.
Ghorashal police outpost Sub-Inspector (SI) Naibul Islam said when the Dhaka-bound bus of Ena Paribahan reached the Bhagadi Kadamtala area on Ghorashal-Panchdona road in the morning, it collided head-on with a covered van coming from the opposite direction.
The driver of the bus and the driver of the covered van were killed on the spot. The injured were rescued and sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital, he added.
