Two more die on Bishwa Ijtema ground

Two more participants of Bishwa Ijtema died reportedly of heart attack ahead of the first phase between Thursday noon and early Friday.

The deceased are Md Ekhlas Mia, 70, and Abdus Sattar, 70.

Four people have died so far of heart disease in the Ijtema.

Ijtema media coordinator Habibullah Raihan said that Ekhlas Mia died early Friday. On Thursday noon, Abdus Sattar, 70, died due to heart attack.

The funeral of two worshipers was held at the Ijtema ground after Fajr prayer on Friday. After the funeral, the bodies were handed over to the relatives.

According to the information provided by the hospital and Ijtema authorities, four people have died so far after coming to participate in the Ijtema.

Yunus Miah of Dhamaura village of Aruail Union of Sarail upazila in Brabanbaria died around 2:30pm on Wednesday and Jamal Uddin of Chauhddi village of Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila died on the same day around 6:30pm.
