President Md Shahabuddin visited the various memorable places of his hometown Pabna on foot Tuesday evening.
At around 7:30pm, he entered the Pabna Diabetic Shamity, one of his stops, from Pabna Circuit House.
After spending a few minutes there, he walked to another place, Lakshmi Mistanna Bhandar.
From there he went to Paradise Sweets around 8:30pm and entered Pabna Press Club, a beloved organization full of memories.
After spending some time there, he returned to the Circuit House. He was accompanied by local friends and activists.
Earlier, the president arrived in his home district of Pabna – his third visit since taking office as the 22nd president of the country.
Previously, the president had to postpone his visit due to weather conditions amid dense winter fog across the country.
The head of state reached Ishwardi airport at 2:10pm by helicopter, confirmed Upazila Nirbai Ofiicer Subir Kumar Das.
His motorcade reached Pabna Circuit House at 3pm. A guard of honour was given to him there.
President’s Office Protocol Officer Muhammad Mamunul Hoque said President Shahabuddin will attend some local events on Wednesday and Thursday. He is expected to start for Dhaka around 2pm on Thursday.
