Members of the Bangladesh Ansar and VDP on Sunday detained a man while he was attempting to set railway tracks on fire in Gazipur.
The detainee, Rejaul, a resident of Tangail, was later turned over to Gazipur police, according to a press release.
Jagadish Chandra Dash, an Ansar member on patrol duty, said Rejaul had tried to set fire to the bushes next to the railway line as well as some sleepers.
