A fire broke out at a Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar in the early hours on Thursday, damaging at least eight shacks, just a few days after a devastating fire in the same camp destroyed around 1,000 sheds.
Four firefighting units rushed to camp No 5 in Ukhiya upazila and brought the flames under control, but reported no casualties, reports UNB.
Ukhiya police station OC Md Shamim Hossain said police were on the spot, adding that they had launched an investigation into the fire.
Previously on Saturday, around 1,000 shelters were gutted in a fire that broke out in Camp 5.
No casualties were reported in the incident.
The reason behind the fire could not be known immediately.
