During the election rally in Tungipara in Gopalganj upazila on Saturday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina captured pictures of teenagers who climbed tree trunks to catch a glimpse of their beloved leader.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the rally at the Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Government College ground in Tungipara in the morning as part of her election campaign.
The rally ground was filled to the brim with the presence of supporters of the Boat symbol to see the leader live.
From Saturday morning, the leaders and activists started coming to Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Government College, the venue of the rally, from Tungipara and nearby areas.
Apart from leaders and activists, people of all ages including teenagers to old also flocked to catch a glimpse of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina from a distance.
The rally turned into a human sea by 9:30am. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina took the stage at the public meeting at 11:30am.
After exchanging greetings with the leaders and activists present on the stage, the prime minister took her seat.
Then Tungipara Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md Babul Sheikh drew the prime minister's attention to some teenage boys who were sitting on the trunks of a tree to see her.
Seeing this, the prime minister took pictures of the moment on her mobile phone from her seat, said Tungipara Upazila Awami League President Sheikh Abul Bashar Khayer.
Later, she showed the captured picture to Sheikh Abul Bashar Khayer with a smiling face.
“The prime minister showed the picture to me and I showed it to Gopalganj Awami League president,” said Abul Bashar.
He also said that a festive atmosphere was created in Tungipara due to the arrival of the prime minister.
Besides, the prime minister was very happy and excited to see the people of her area after a long time.
