22 candidates including PM Hasina file nomination papers in Gopalganj

A total of 22 aspirant-candidates including Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have filed nomination papers from three parliamentary constituencies of Gopalganj to contest the 12th parliamentary elections slated for January 7, 2024.

Sheikh Hasina filed her nomination paper on behalf of her party (Awami League) while Sheikh Abul Kalam from National People's Party (NPP), Mahabub Molla from Zaker Party, M Nizam Uddin Laskar from Bangladesh Supreme Party, Syeda Lima Hasan from Gono Front, Sahidul Islam Mintu from Bangladesh Congress, Shishir Chowdhury from Jatiya Party and independent candidate Kamal Hossain submitted their nomination papers from Parliamentary Constituency-217 (Gopalganj 3).

Awami League Presidium Member Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, MP, submitted his nomination paper while Kazi Shaheen from Jatiya Party (Manju), Jamal Uddin Sheikh from Trinamool-BNP, Mohammad Sajjad Hossain Miah from Zaker Party, Md Phul Miah from Jasad (Inu), Omar Nayan from Jatiya Party (MA Matin) and independent candidate Aminul Hasan Shaheen filed their nomination papers from Parliamentary Constituency-216 (Gopalganj-2).

From Parliamentary Constituency-215, (Gopalganj 1), Awami League nomination paper was submitted by party presidium member Lt Col Muhammad Faruk Khan (Retd).

Besides, Shahidul Islam from Jatiya Party (Manju), Delwar Hossain from Zaker Party, Zahidul Islam from Trinamool-BNP, Md Abdullah from National People's Party and independent candidates Kabir Miah filed their nomination papers in Parliamentary Constituency-215.
