An elderly and her grandson were killed when a bus hit them in Munshiganj’s Gazaria area on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Johora Begum, 52, and her minor grandson eight-month-old Abdullah. Johora Begum was a resident of Aralia village in Gazaria upazila.
Police said the accident occurred in the Baliakandi bus stand area on the Dhaka-Chittagong Highway, when Johora Begum along with her daughter and grandson were crossing the Highway.
They died on the spot.
Bhaberchar Highway police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Humayun Kabir said police seized the bus from the spot.
