Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud on Saturday said dialogue can be held with political parties not with arsonists.
"Those are not political parties which carry out arson attacks on people, public transports and hospitals and torch the holy Quran. Those are not political activities," he said while inaugurating the restored mural and photographs named Bangabandhu means Bangladesh in the city's Jamal Khan area.
Dr Hasan said the government is determined to eliminate the arsonists and miscreants.
The minister said BNP-Jamaat only knows how to destroy history.
About the ongoing blockade called by the BNP, he said the countrymen rejected their call and everything is normal.
“The offices, courts and schools are open though they are trying to create panic through arson attacks in some places,” he added.
