Railway police on Friday arrested three persons in connection with a fire that took place on a commuter train at Gharinda Railway Station in Tangail Sadar upazila two days ago.
The arrestees were identified as Aminul Islam, Saiful Islam and Nazmul Islam.
Sub-Inspector Ashraf of Gharinda railway police station, the investigating officer of the case, said they are being interrogated. Further details will be provided later.
Miscreants set a commuter train on fire parked at Gharinda railway station in Tangail on Thursday on the last day of the 48-hour blockade enforced by BNP.
Three compartments of the train were gutted in the fire.
A three-member probe committee has been formed by the railway authority to investigate the matter.
