Law enforcers in plain clothes have allegedly detained five people including BNP Kishoreganj unit president from a house in Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj district.
The arrestees are BNP president Shariful Alam, also co-organizing secretary of the party's executive committee, BNP leaders Nuruzzaman, Saiful, house owner Mazharul and Ratan, driver of Shariful.
They were detained around 7:30am on Saturday from the house of Mazharul.
Shamsuddin Didar, a member of the BNP chairperson's press wing, confirmed the matter this morning.
