A parked bus under the banner of Rimi Travels caught fire after several unidentified men hurled petrol bombs at it on the Dhaka-bound lane of the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar on Wednesday morning.
Three firefighting units rushed to the spot and managed to bring the flames under control upon receiving the information.
Md Nurul Islam, senior station officer at the local fire service office, said no casualties had been reported.
Quoting locals, he said 10-12 people had thrown petrol bombs at the bus and fled the scene.
