Two construction workers electrocuted at Dhamrai factory

Two construction workers were killed and two others were injured from electrocution at a factory of a pharmaceutical company in Dhaka's Dhamrai area on Tuesday evening. . 

The incident took place around 7:30pm in an under-construction building inside the factory of the ACME Laboratories Ltd.

The deceased were Md Salam, 42, and Momin, 30 while the injured were identified as Md Shariful, 28, of the same area, Mustafa, 30.They were building piling workers.

Police sources said piling work was going on in the under-construction building inside the factory. During this time a metal rod accidentally became electrified and injured four people.

Two of them died while being taken to Savar's Gonoshasthaya Kendra Hospital. 

The two others injured received first aid.

Sub-Inspector Rabiul Islam from Dhamrai Police Station said: "We went to the hospital, recovered the bodies, and took them to the police station. Initially it is assumed that they were accidentally electrocuted. Legal procedures are in progress, and an investigation will be conducted, followed by appropriate actions."
