The Jamaat-e-Islami leader and convicted war criminal Delawar Hossain Sayedee will be buried in Khulna.
Khulna's Darul Quran Siddikia Kamil Madrasa management committee held a meeting upon receiving the news on Monday night.
During the meeting, there was a discussion about bringing the body of Delawar Hossain Sayedee to the madrasa and burying it at a specific place.
"Sayedee had expressed a desire to be buried at this madrasa during his lifetime," Darul Quran Siddiqia Kamil Madrasa Jame Mosque Pesh Imam Asaduzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune.

He said: "As per Delawar Hossain Sayedee and his wife's wishes the burial site at this madrasa has been fixed. Upon receiving news of his passing, the madrasa committee members and local dignitaries held an emergency meeting. ”
"Sayedee's son is in the US. He left for Dhaka as soon as he got the news. A decision on bringing him to Khulna might be made once he arrives in Dhaka. Discussions are being held and communicated at all levels," he said.
Delawar Hossain Sayedee passed away on Monday night while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU). He was 83.
The convicted war criminal died at the hospital at 8:40pm.
His son Masood Sayedee confirmed the matter in a Facebook post.
Sayedee suffered cardiac arrest two times.
