Two killed, 10 injured as train hits auto-rickshaw, bus in Chittagong

Two people, including a policeman, were killed and 10 others injured when a train hit a bus and an auto-rickshaw at level crossing in Chittagong on Saturday.
The deceased policeman has been identified as Traffic Constable Mohammad Monir.
The crash took place around 10.30am on the Jhautala level-crossing in the port city, OC Mohammad Shahinuzzaman of the Khulshi Police Station told Dhaka Tribune.
"The diesel-electric multiple unit [Demu] train crashed into the bus and the CNG-run auto-rickshaw at the level crossing, leaving two dead on the spot," he said.
Ten people have been taken to Chittagong Medical College Hospital from the scene, said Assistant Sub-inspector Alauddin Talukder of the hospital’s police outpost.
