The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Mushtaq Ahmed, former managing director (MD) of Sundarban Gas Company, for allegedly acquiring illegal assets worth around Tk2.5 crore and concealing asset information.
ACC Deputy Director Ali Akbar filed the case at the integrated district office-1 on Monday, ACC Public Relations Officer Muhammad Arif Sadeq told Dhaka Tribune.
According to the commission, Mushtaq Ahmed submitted details of his movable and immovable assets to the ACC on May 26, 2019. The statement claims he had acquired property worth Tk1.2 crore in his own name.
However, the commission found the accused had concealed over Tk54.60 lakh and accumulated over Tk2.13 crore outside of his known sources of income.
