War Crimes: Verdict in case against ex-BNP MP Khoka any day

The International Crimes Tribunal has ended hearing closing arguments in the case against former BNP lawmaker Abdul Momin Talukder alias Khoka accused of committing crimes against humanity during the Liberation War.

The ICT-1 led by Justice Md Shahinur Islam kept the case for verdict after the proceedings on Monday, in absence of the accused, who has been on the run.

Prosecutor Mokhlesur Rahman Badal stood for the state.

The three charges leveled against the accused, a Muslim League activist during the war, include the murder of 19 people, genocide and arson attacks.   

Khoka became a lawmaker from Bogra’s Adamdighi area in 2001 and 2008 elections from the BNP.
