A woman along with her son and daughter were found dead at their home in Chittagong city on Friday.
Thirty-year-old Sumita Khatun and her 2-year-old son Shaan were found hanging from the ceiling fan while 7-year-old Moon was found on the bed at their Ismalil Colony home in Panchlaish, said police.
“There are injury marks on neck of the girl,” said Assistant Commissioner Shahidul Islam of the metropolitan police’s Panchlaish circle.
Sumita’s husband Shohel Rana has been taken into custody for interrogation, he said.
Police arrived at the scene after the incident was reported, said the senior police officer before adding that they had to knock down the door to enter the house.
