University teacher dies in road accident in Pirojpur

A teacher of the university at Gopalganj has died in a road accident in Pirojpur on Wednesday.
Thirty-four-year-old Kazi Mosiur Rahman was an assistant professor at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU).
His wife Sifat Ara Mou and son Kazi Monmoy were critically injured in the accident on the Dhaka-Pirojpur Highway around 6pm, said police.
The accident was reported from Pirojpur’s Nazirpur upazila when the family was heading to Gopalganj in a van, which was run over by the bus.
Mosiur succumbed to his injuries at the Khulna Medical College Hospital. His son and wife are being treated at the Gazi Medical College Hospital in Khulna, said Nazipur police station OC Sheikh Ashrafuzzaman.
The bus has been seized while a manhunt has been launched for the driver, said the police officer.
