Narayanganj district unit BNP bi-annual conference is going to be held after 14 long years.
The conference will be held from 10am to 4pm at Giasuddin Islamic Model School and College ground in Siddhirganj on Saturday.
Various preparations have been made for the conference, and the decoration work for the venue is completed.
According to party sources, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman is expected to join the conference via a video call from London as a chief guest.
While BNP Standing Committee member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain is set to be present as a special guest, and Dhaka divisional Organizing Secretary Advocate Abdus Salam Azad as a chief speaker.
Meanwhile, Muhammad Gias Uddin, the former lawmaker from the Narayanganj-4 constituency and the current convener of the district unit BNP, was elected as the president of the Narayanganj district unit BNP unopposed.
District unit BNP's current Member Secretary Golam Faruk Khokon and Joint Convener Masukul Islam Rajeev bought nomination papers for the general secretary post.
The selection of the general secretary will be determined through a voting process during the conference. Following this, a 151-member district BNP committee will be formed.
