Three motorcyclists were killed and another was injured as the vehicle hit a tractor on Boda-Debiganj road in Kalurhat Katonhari area in Debiganj upazila in Panchagarh early Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Towhidul Islam, 35, son of Almas Ali, Amin Sheikh, 48, son of Rajab Ali, Almas Ali, 55, son of Mozammel Haque.
Amin Sheikh's brother Salekul Islam, 35, was injured in the accident.
Jamal Hossain, officer-in-charge of Debiganj police station, confirmed the matter.
The accident took place when the motorcycle hit the tree-laden tractor from the behind after its rider lost control over the wheel, leaving the people dead on the spot and two injured.
The injured Almas Ali and Salekul Islam were taken to Rangpur Medical College Hospital where Almas succumbed to his injuries.
The tractor was seized from the spot but the driver managed to flee the scene after the accident.
The motorcycle was carrying three pillions, said the OC.
