Two ice cream factory owners were fined Tk60,000 for making adulterated ice cream in Satkhira's Manjitpur area.
The Directorate of Consumer Rights Protection (DNCRP) and the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) conducted two separate operations on Wednesday.
During this time, a large amount of robo ice cream, harmful colours and flavours were destroyed.
Satkhira DNCRP Assistant Director Nazmul Hasan said: "Manjitpur's Hasan Ali was making robo ice cream at home with harmful colours and flavours to the human body and using the logo of a famous brand to market it."
Hasan Ali was fined Tk50,000 during the raid.
"10 bags of robo ice cream and harmful chemicals for making ice cream were destroyed during the ride," he added.
Besides, another person named Zakir Hossain was fined Tk10,000 for making adulterated ice cream in the same area.
