Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council has greeted the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
The council's presidents Ushatan Talukdar, Dr Nimchandra Bhowmik, Nirmal Rosario, and General Secretary AD Rana Dasgupta on Thursday greeted the countrymen through a statement.
In non-communal Bangladesh, every religious festival brings a message of harmony and unity, reads the statement.
Eid-ul-Fitr, the main religious festival of the Muslim community, is also a symbol of harmony among all the countrymen, it adds.
They also called upon everyone to take joint initiatives in promoting communal harmony by educating about equality during this religious festival.
