Though traffic pressure has increased on Dhaka-Tangail-Bangabandhu Bridge highway due to the journey of homebound people, there is no traffic congestion.
The vehicle is running at normal speed.
Such pictures were seen at various points on the road on Thursday morning.
Dhaka-bound vehicles are gathering at Elenga highway from Bangabandhu Bridge's Golchhattar t via Bhuapur to ease the traffic jam.
Meanwhile, North Bengal-bound vehicles from Elenga are crossing the Bangabandhu Bridge through a two-lane road.
As a result, this 13-km road from Elenga to Bangabandhu Bridge has not been under much pressure compared to previous years during Eid journey.
No traffic jams were reported anywhere.
The vehicles are still running at normal speed. However, the pressure of vehicles on this highway was gradually increasing.
On the other hand, along with public transport, people were seen traveling in open trucks and pickup vans to their destinations risking their lives.
Elenga Highway Police Outpost in-charge Zahid Hasan said: "The pressure of vehicles on the highway is gradually increasing. But there is no traffic jam anywhere. The vehicles are running at normal speed.”
The police are working at different points of the road to resolve the traffic jam, he added.
