4 Bangladeshis killed in South Africa road crash buried

Five Bangladeshis were killed and two others were seriously injured in the road crash

Four of the five Bangladeshis killed in a recent road accident in South Africa were buried at their family graveyards in Feni on Friday. 

Ismail Hossain, Razu Ahmed, Md Mustafa and Abul Hosain were buried at their respective homes after their namaz-e-janaza.

Earlier on Thursday, their bodies were handed over to their families upon arrival at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The bodies of these four expatriate Bangladeshis arrived in the country seven days after the accident.

Two other Bangladeshis were critically injured in the accident that took place on February 24. 

Among them, Anisul Haque of Daganbhuyian upazila of Feni took his last breath on Monday. He had been receiving treatment at George Hospital in South Africa. 

Anisul Haque's body is expected to reach the country on Saturday. 

Apart from this, Nadim Hossain was buried in South Africa as he was an African citizen. 

Besides, Nahid Ahmed, who hails from the Gopalganj district, is currently under treatment in the hospital with serious injuries. 

Five Bangladeshi nationals were killed and two others were seriously injured in the road crash, which occurred at Beaufort West, a town in the Western Cape province and 1,000km from the capital city of Pretoria, South Africa.

According to a foreign ministry official (Africa Wing), a lorry crushed the vehicle that was carrying the victims bound for Cape Town from Pretoria.
