Four people died when a passenger bus overturned in Baganbari area of Bahubal upazila of Habiganj district on Thursday.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bahubal police station Rakibul Islam said the incident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway around 6:30pm.
At least 30 other passengers were injured in the incident, he added.
Three passengers were killed on the spot. One of the injured succumbed to their injuries after being taken to a local hospital, said OC Rakibul.
The cause of the accident and the names of the victims were not immediately known, the OC said.
The accident caused a gridlock on the highway, he added.
