The Forest Department has recovered the decomposed body of a Royal Bengal Tiger from the Sundarbans.
It was found in Murali Khal area of Kalagachhi in Satkhira range under the Sundarbans West Zone on Sunday afternoon, Burigoalini Station Officer Nure Alam confirmed.
He suspected that the tiger had died a month ago. “The remains will be buried near our office as per instructions of the higher authorities,” he told Dhaka Tribune.
A general diary has been filed with Shyamnagar police station.
