Tahibul Islam used to sell chatpati on the sidewalk every day from noon to night. When the customers left, he used to close the shop and study till late at night.
Through sheer determination and hard work, Tahibul finally secured GPA-5 in the HSC exam.
Tahibul is the son of Badal Hossain who used to sell chatpati on the sidewalk. Now Tahibul has taken over his father's business.
If anyone go in front of Hanif bus counter next to Birampur main road, they can see Tahibul selling chatpati in a van.
It was not possible for Badal to meet the expenses of Tahibul's education.
However, due to indomitable spirit and desire for education, Tahibul conquered poverty and continued education with the profits he made from selling chatpati.
He participated in the HSC examinations from Chadpur Fazil Madrasa, Birampur.
“Everything has been possible with the sincerity of my teachers,” said Tahibul, adding: “I studied as much as I could at night after selling chatpati from noon to midnight. I will do any work to continue my study.
“My dream is to get a good job with higher education,” said an ambitious Tahibul.
Tahibul's father, Badal, said: “I am thrilled that my son got GPA-5. He studied hard and got good results. I want my son to be successful in his life.”
Humayun Kabir, principal of Chadpur Fazil Madrasa said: “Six people have gotten GPA-5 from this institution. Tahibul is one of them. He is very talented. I wish him success.”
Birampur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Parimol Kumar Sarkar said he is very happy to know that Tahibul got GPA-5 in HSC examination.
